No. Everything is done locally here in Oregon. You can drop off your reels, tapes, slides, or photos in person and pick them up when they’re finished. Your memories never leave our care.
We’re based in West Salem, Oregon, and serve customers throughout Salem and surrounding areas. All work is done in-house.
No, we do not develop film. We scan and digitize slides, negatives, prints, tapes, and home movies that have already been developed or recorded. If you have undeveloped rolls of film, a film lab will need to process them first. Once you have the developed negatives, we are happy to scan them for you.
Absolutely. We encourage you to schedule a time to stop by, meet us, and discuss your project. We know how important your family’s memories are, and we want you to feel comfortable from the start.
We prefer local drop-offs to ensure the safety of your materials. If mailing is your only option, please contact us first so we can walk you through the safest way to send your items.
Just keep in mind that we are not responsible for your items once the mail carrier takes possession of your items.Â
Turnaround times vary depending on the quantity and condition of your materials, but most projects are completed within 1–3 weeks. We’ll provide an estimated timeline when you drop off your items.
You can choose from USB, external hard drive, or digital download. All files are delivered in high-quality formats compatible with TVs, computers, and mobile devices.
Yes. Every item you bring in will be returned to you after it’s been digitized, safely labeled and organized.
Yes. Minor film repairs, splicing, and cleaning are included in our standard process. If your materials are severely damaged, we’ll evaluate them first and discuss options before proceeding.
Yes. Each reel, tape, slide, and photo is gently cleaned before digitizing to ensure the best possible quality and reduce dust or scratches in the final result
We recommend organizing your materials by type and labeling them if possible. For slides or photos, group them in sets and include any dates or notes that will help us organize your digital folders.
