Our Slide and Negative Scanning service is designed to help you preserve these photos and effortlessly share them with your family.
At Digitizing Family Film, everything is done locally in Oregon. There’s no mailing, no outsourcing, and no uncertainty. You can drop off your slides and negatives, meet us in person, and feel confident knowing they’ll be handled with the same care we’d give our own.
Achieving outstanding results depends on having the right equipment—and we’ve got you covered. Before scanning begins, each slide is carefully cleaned with compressed air, and our state-of-the-art scanner filters out dust and imperfections. We believe in delivering nothing less than exceptional quality.
All we ask is that you organize your slides into sets of about 25–50 and enclose them in slide boxes or zip-lock plastic bags. Including a short description with any dates or labels helps us organize your collection more effectively.
For those with negatives to digitize, we offer a direct scanning service that produces high-quality versions perfect for reprinting, digital viewing, or sharing with family. Please note that we currently support the scanning of 35mm film only.
We scan slides and negatives. We do not develop film. If you have undeveloped rolls that have never been processed, those need to go to a film lab first, and then we can scan the developed negatives for you. Once your negatives are developed, bring them in and we will take great care of them.
